Myofascial Therapies

Myofascial therapies is a series of useful techniques that help to break up adhered muscle fiber quickly and effectively. This technique can also help to support the softening of scar tissue build up. The most common techniques include cross fiber and pin/stretch. Cross fiber technique works against the direction of the muscle fibers causing friction, neurological repatterning, and acute inflammation to the targeted area. Pin and stretch technique includes pinning down tight muscle fiber and then applying longitudinal release – going in the direction of the muscle fiber with sustained and slow pressure. This benefits the fascia or topical layers of soft tissue but also penetrates towards deeper muscle groups and more fibrous regions. The therapist will be accompanied by provided music, warming towels, inflammation supporting & tension reduction herbal salve as well as an essential oil specific to the client’s needs.Who is this for?
