A 24 hour notice is required for cancellation without charge. After 24 hours the practitioner has the right to charge the session amount agreed upon per booking. This is applicable to all no shows or cancellations after 24 hours with certain exceptions such as, extreme personal emergencies & proof of a positive COVID-19 test. If you are sick with a virus or contagious illness you may reach out for a rate reduction of 50% per session cost agreed upon at booking

This practice takes place at North Oakland Chiropractic Clinic — 5212 Claremont Ave. Oakland CA 94618
Upon arrival please park on the street or in the back parking lot if available (driveway to the left of the building, first two spots are for use)
Please utilize the front door for access
If the front door is locked please wait on the patio for Jo to greet you
Our closest bart station is MacArthur bart with a short bus ride that drops off a few minutes from the clinic
The building has 5-7 small steps at the front door
The practitioner always wears a KN95 mask to help mitigate viral spread
There is a running HEPA filter in the massage room at all times
Due to the old building structure and model sound travels through the clinic. If you are sound sensitive prioritize booking on Tuesday, Thursday, or evening session times
If clients have scent sensitivities the provider will do their best to midigate scent. Please know the practitioner works with a lot of varying products that are plant based, that may include aromatic smell
You will be sent a link to an intake form via the first text confirmation you are sent after booking

Session payments are collected at the end of each session. A card is requested upon booking in office sessions and you may utilize the card on file or another card at the time of payment
All major cards accepted, HSA/FSA approved transactions (invoice provided for reimbursement), personal check, and cash accepted
Sliding scale sessions requested to pay in cash or via Venmo/Zelle
A deposit of $75 will be received at the time of initial booking for first in home session via one of the payment methods above. The deposit is only returnable in the event of a cancellation/reschedule request prior to 24 hours of the session. No deposits returned after cancellation/reschedule request after 24 hours prior to session time agreed upon
All four session package purchases are final and valid for a year after purchase
Gift certificates are redeemable in person & are valid for a year. All purchases final

A verbal intake will take place at the beginning of each session wherein the massage therapist will inquire about physical discomfort and irregularities specific to muscular support. It is the responsibility of each client to disclose as much information as is comfortable to receive the most effective session possible
If you are uncomfortable at any point prior, during, or post massage please utilize your autonomy to verbalize your discomfort to your massage therapist. Your comfort is the most important aspect to your healing process
Please notify your practitioner of any medical information necessary to ensure your safety such as, previous surgeries, implants, chronic injury, previous injuries, allergies, disabilities, access needs, and trauma history. You are welcome to share as much or as little as you are comfortable with
An intake form will be sent via text upon booking wherein you can disclose the above information prior to the session
This practice respects and follows HIPAA guidelines and requests consent permissions from each client when releasing information
This is a therapeutic resource that follows the American Massage Therapy council guidelines. Any sexual advances made by the client will automatically terminate the session with no refund
